ASR finished on a very satisfying note and I feel that everyone was a little surprised by its popularity (question mark? Not sure why, because it's incredible) and decided to have Wells pick up the story and start running with it. Not my favorite of the series, Artificial Condition definitely feels like it was put together as a surprise follow up to All Systems Red. What it discovers will forever change the way it thinks… Teaming up with a Research Transport vessel named ART (you don’t want to know what the “A” stands for), Murderbot heads to the mining facility where it went rogue. But it has only vague memories of the massacre that spawned that title, and it wants to know more. A past that caused it to christen itself “Murderbot”. It has a dark past - one in which a number of humans were killed. Artificial Condition is the follow-up to Martha Wells' Hugo, Nebula, Alex, and Locus Award-winning, New York Times bestselling All Systems Red.
